Your Role
As our
AI Software Engineer (m/f/d), you will design and implement next-generation legal tech solutions. You’ll work on document review and analysis, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), knowledge graphs, and agentic workflows. This is a prototype-driven environment where you’ll build fast-paced MVPs and products as part of a cross-functional innovation team. As the dominant authority in your domain within our multidisciplinary team, you are expected to independently set the gold standard for your field and act as the definitive guide for colleagues across all teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
AI Engineering & Development- Build and deploy AI pipelines for legal document workflows, including RAG and multi-step agentic processes.
- Design and implement robust data pipelines for legal technology applications, covering data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and integration from diverse enterprise systems and databases.
- Establish and maintain automated data workflow processes to uphold high standards of data quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance throughout the entire data lifecycle.
- Integrate knowledge graphs and vector databases for structured reasoning and semantic search across large legal datasets.
- Optimize performance and scalability of LLM-based systems for production environments.
- Develop and integrate solutions with MCP servers to support advanced legal tech workflows and ensure seamless interoperability within our infrastructure.
- Collaborate with legal engineers and product teams to turn complex requirements into working prototypes.
Cloud Architecture & Compliance- Architect and deploy AI services on based cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) using containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement security and compliance frameworks for GDPR and legal industry standards.
- Monitor and maintain system reliability through automated testing and observability tools.
About You
- You have several years of experience in roles of a similar nature.
- You have a can-do attitude and thrive on turning ideas into reality.
- You don’t just identify problems. You own solutions.
- You have experience in AI/ML engineering and building AI-powered products.
- You’re familiar with generative AI technologies, RAG architectures, and cloud deployment.
- You have strong coding skills (Python, Typescript and experience with knowledge graphs and vector databases.
- You enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams and taking ownership of outcomes.
